Project Engineer
As a Project Engineer you will be a key interface with the customer and will assist the Project Manager with the management and co-ordination of internal teams, suppliers and sub-contractors to deliver projects on-time, within budget and in-line with agreed specifications.

You will have a mechanical or electrical engineering background with a good understanding of process equipment design, fabrication & machining along with a basic understanding of electrical installations and industrial control systems.

 

We are especially interested in hearing from people who can demonstrate a track record of innovative and ‘out of the box’ thinking and who know the right questions to ask in order to achieve the best possible solutions and project outcomes.

 

To Note

The role may require occasional travel within the UK and overseas.

The role will include...
  • Working with the customer and internal design team to develop designs for bespoke equipment and systems
  • Attending / leading meetings with clients and stakeholders
  • Project planning
  • Working with suppliers and sub-contractors to specify components and 3rd party equipment
  • Preparation of documentation including technical specifications, P&IDs, general arrangement drawings, User Requirements Specifications (URS) etc. including a good understanding of validation documentation requirements
  • Preparation of BOM’s to assist with procurement and assembly processes
  • Conducting design reviews & HAZOPs
  • Writing risk assessments & method statements
  • Carrying out site surveys
  • Assisting the workshop team during the assembly and testing of equipment

An understanding of design of equipment for use in hazardous areas (eg.ATEX) and for compliance with relevant safety and regulatory requirements including CE & UKCA would be advantageous.

You should be competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and basic knowledge of 2D AutoCAD would be preferable.
